Share the Love of Music – Event Highlights

On Saturday, April 25th at 2:30 PM, students and teachers from Nova Music School had the privilege of visiting Maple Grove for a very special community outreach event: Share the Love of Music.

This nursing home visitation was more than just a performance it was an opportunity to bring joy, encouragement, and connection through the gift of music.

Throughout the afternoon, residents enjoyed a variety of musical performances presented by our talented students. From piano solos and vocal performances to instrumental pieces, every song was shared with heart and purpose. It was wonderful to see smiles, applause, and meaningful interactions fill the room as music brought generations together.

Events like these also provide valuable learning experiences for our students. Performing in community settings helps students build confidence, overcome stage nerves, and grow in their communication and presentation skills. Unlike traditional recitals, these performances allow students to connect emotionally with their audience and experience how music can positively impact others.

Students also develop empathy, compassion, and a greater sense of community involvement through opportunities like this. They learn that music is not only about technique and practice, but also about serving, encouraging, and bringing people together. These real-life performance experiences help students grow both musically and personally.

We are incredibly proud of all the performers who participated and grateful to the staff and residents at Maple Grove for welcoming us so warmly. Thank you to the families, teachers, and volunteers who helped make this event possible.

At Nova Music School, we believe music is meant to be shared — and this afternoon was a beautiful reminder of exactly that.
