“We’ve all heard of the ‘Mozart effect’ on children – and now, this study appears to confirm a strong relationship between music lessons and high performance in other subjects.”

Martin J. Bergee, from the University of Kansas set out to disprove that “music makes you smarter” by doing a study with 1000 students ages 10-14 from 7 different school districts in the US to see if there is a relationship between music and academic performance – but instead he found strong links that tie the 2 together thus proving the idea of the ‘Mozart effect’
